Super Science Fair Projects is Website Sold!

Super Science Fair Projects is Website Sold!

Excited to share with you that a really good business friend, Michael Burghoffer, is now the new owner of https://www.super-science-fair-projects.com

I have known Michael for 16 years. He comes from a family of inventors. Two of those members invented the PicoTurbine Wind Turbine Experiment Kit. Michael was in Jr High when he used the kit to do a science fair experiment and won 1st prize at his state's Science Fair Olympiad.

In the year 2002 or 2003, I started selling that kit online and purchased them from one of the inventors.

After being disgruntled with working on Wall Street, at the age of 21, Michael purchased his cousin's wind turbine website. That is how I met him.

Michael revolutionized the original model to what it is today. In the beginning it was made of cardboard, paper, wooden dowels and some wires. What a change in design and function: See what they look like today!

Inside info about Michael

Besides being an excellent business man, Michael is a math wiz! He is married, a husband, father, triathlon athlete and owner of PicoSolutions.com

And he has a passion for... well, I think I will let him tell you when he is ready. Look for his emails as he develops his non-profit idea worldwide. It will positively affect you. I know I am excited.

Thank you all for being a positive contributor to Super Science Fair projects.com. Some of you have been with me from the beginning when I launch the site in 2001 as an informational site. It gradually evolved to what it is today.

And with Michaels foresight, it is going to grow into something spectacular. I feel like I am leaving you and the site in excellent hands. Like my son said to me today, "Michael is the right person with the best vision. He was meant to be the owner."

Cheers!

Madeline

Cloth Face Mask Protection Science Experiment

Cloth Face Mask Protection Science Experiment

Try this easy and fast cloth face mask protection science experiment. It an excellent science project for all ages as well as learning how to protect yourself, family and friends.

By now most of us knows that masks can block the exhale of virus particles (aerosols) into the air around you, which helps keep the virus from spreading. And of course, masks are also a helpful barrier when you cough or sneeze.

But cloth masks, which are often made of materials like cotton, do they protect you from inhaling particles that carry the virus — and with a virus as infectious as COVID or omicron.

And before I give you the free project I must tell you my pet peeves. - Wearing any mask below your nose is dangerous,. Read this Discovery Magazine article.

- Wearing your face mask on your neck transfers viruses and germs to another part of your body and does not protect your or anyone else!

- And this is the best one. Did you ever ask anyone to please wear their mask and they say to you while putting their hand in their pocket, "I have a mask!"

The mask MUST be worn on the bridge of your nose without your nostrils exposed.

This project is best done with an adult supervisor.

Use a candle that is firmly inserted into a candlestick holder. Place the candlestick holder away from a gas stove or anything that is flammable such as paper.

Put your mask on and make sure it is on the bridge of your nose. Light the candle. Now blow through your mouth really hard. If the candle flame waivers or blows out your mask does not provide protection to you or anyone else.

Now get all the different masks that you have in your home that you have collected over the last 1-1/2 years. Do the experiment with each of the different kinds of masks.

The ones that do not give protection, put them away or throw them out.

I did this experiment with my KN95 mask blowing as hard as I could and the candle flame did not move.

Let us know the results of your experiment below.

Welcome to the Easy To Do Science Fair Projects

Science fair projects are not only fun to complete, but they are also very educational. They are designed to encourage students to develop their critical thinking skills, their problem solving skills and their scientific inquiry skills. In order to get the most out of a science fair project you need to have the right tools, such as discount student microscopes. While most science fair projects are completed by middle school students, students of all ages can benefit from participating in science fair projects.

If you are interested in using science fair projects as a teaching tool or as a learning tool, then you have a lot of options. Many students enjoy practice or demo experiments that are first demonstrated by the teacher and then completed by the students.

What science fair projects or science demos are you interested in? What is your favorite science experiment?

One of my favorite experiments to introduce kids to scientific experiments and inquiry processes is the growing crystals experiment. This experiment can be completed at home or at school and is very cheap to complete. All you need is pipe cleaner, a solution of salt water or borax water and a container for the solution.
